Duck couple

Adelstan is on top, Flothilda with her head under his. Sadly Flothilda has passed away since this photo was taken. Adel' now spends his time alone, bullying chickens.

Update: Adelstan's continued determined sexual harrassment of chickens resulted in offical flock war meetings. These meetings formally sent out Big Bertha, the Tank Cat of the run's population, after the offending duck to mete out retribution. After twice nearly having his eye pecked out, Adel' was withdrawn from the run. He was joined in the pond by three indian runners who he lived in peace and happiness with until one of the girls disappeared and the other was murdered.
Adel and Florence - the one surviving girl - spent a week hiding in their house until finally gaining the confidence to venture out into the world again.
They were just settling down once more when their world was invaded by four aggressive brown mallard/khaki cambell crosses of unknown origins. The white ducks were no match for the bolshy newcomers and were quickly cowed, despite Florence's valient ninja attacks.

However now, months later, the two groups of ducks have settled down to live in reliative harmony...

ETA March 11 2009: The ducks continue to live as a happy little family, as evidenced by several groups of ducklings, a few of which have even survived. Adel has now died, quite possibly of old age. He is succeeded by his son Lucy, who is the only remaining white duck on the pond.
