Izzie

Did this for a family friend's birthday; it's her dog Izzie. Purebred Jack Russell ... supposedly hahah. Pen and watercolour, I worked from two photos I'd taken (combined the best of both). Couldn't resist that tongue

Only the second 'traditional' detailed straight-laced kinda watercolour I've ever done, and the first time I ever used masking fluid. Crazy latex-y stuff!

I'm just hoping I haven't screwed it up too much trying to put back in some of the colour the scanner washed out. A lot of what looks brown here was actually gingery.
